Documentation Overview
Below, you will find images of the documentation I designed for this case study, illustrating the process and solutions in detail.
What I Did
- Designing a booklet for print using InDesign allowed for comprehensive documentation of the case study.
- Conducting user research, including surveys, interviews, and field observations, provided valuable insights into user needs and preferences.
- Building a rough prototype in Figma enabled quick visualization of ideas and concepts.
- Conducting three rounds of iteration testing in a simulated real-world interaction environment helped refine the design and ensure usability and effectiveness.
- Presenting my case study to a group of 20+ people facilitated valuable feedback and insights from diverse perspectives.
Further Insights
- The user should never feel "stupid" or that accomplishing the intended task is "too difficult." The goal is always to make the user feel empowered.
- Users want custom profiles and settings that the system remembers.
- Understanding a user's entire environmental interaction with the product is crucial, especially accommodating highly distracted environments during design.
